A. Definitions
‘Products’, ‘Goods’ is the materials being sold by the Seller
‘Buyer’, ‘Customer’, ‘You’ means the person, company or organisation placing an order
‘Us’, ‘We’, ‘Seller’ refers to Brentwood Fencing Supplies Ltd, Ongar Road, Brentwood, Essex, CM15 9JH
B. Timber
The nature of timber is that it may shrink, split, crack and twist in hot weather as it gives up moisture into an atmosphere drier than itself, and may swell in wet weather, as it takes up moisture from an atmosphere wetter than itself.
There may also be slight colour variations between batches.
We are not responsible for this as it is an inherent characteristic of wood; we give this information so you can make informed decisions about using wood.
These discrepancies do not deem a product faulty.
C. Gates
When installing our gates, please ensure that a minimum of two sliding bolts are used as well as a central latch.
If hanging as a pair, use a drop bolt to the bottom of both leaves. They will need to be kept shut and in a locked position when not in use for at least 60 days from installation. This is to allow the timber to weather and settle, by doing this you greatly reduce the risk of movement and dropping of gates.
After 6-12 months treatment should be applied to the gates and roll on every 12 months.
1. Deliveries
- Delivery of materials will be to front garden / kerbside only. We are unable to take materials to the rear of a property
- We will not take any materials into or through buildings
- We will not deliver to any place that is not a residential or commercial property, for example; fields, car parks
- All risk from the materials passes to the buyer upon delivery
- Any damage to materials delivered must be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery
- It is the buyer’s responsibility to check the condition of goods upon delivery. Once the buyer has signed for the delivery, we will not be accountable for any damage
- If any materials are not in stock at the time an order is placed, we will contact the buyer where either a full refund will be given should the buyer wish, or a new delivery day will be arranged
- In some cases, due to the weight / length of certain materials, the delivery driver may need help to remove them from the delivery vehicle
2. Refund Policy
- The return must be made within 30 days of receipt of goods for the buyer to be eligible for a refund
- The buyer has the right to return goods that are unused and receive a full refund (minus delivery charges if applicable). If returned goods are not in a resaleable condition, the return will not be accepted
- Made to measure products are not returnable or refundable
- If the buyer wants to return goods that have been delivered by us, it is the responsibility of the buyer to arrange returning the goods back to us
- Refunds will take place within a reasonable amount of time after the goods have been returned and inspected
- As timber is a natural material, returns cannot be accepted on the basis of- twisting, shrinking, swelling or colour variations
- If any goods fall below our expected standard or are deemed as faulty, we will investigate the matter further to make a decision on the return/refund
- The buyer must provide us with a full receipt/invoice for the return to be accepted and the refund to be processed
