It is used to protect metals like iron, steel, and corrugated iron, as well as materials such as wood, concrete, and felt, from water and weathering.

When dry, it forms an odorless and taint-free finish, making it suitable for applications from protecting metal fences and gutters to use in planters and overcoating roofs

Wear gloves, as it can be difficult to remove from skin. Tools can be cleaned with white spirit.
